I have given that bought the $300 large shiny all clad from William Sonoma.. It looks like jewellery, and boils my coffee/tea water in four minutes, and it is the only one I even have ever viewed that was quiet.. Now if best I could have the dollars for $320 for devoted espresso water heater though (because thats all its excellent for).. ADDING THIS NOTE TO BOTH REVIEWS (blue two and all clad)..
THE PROBLEM:
I will contact the manufacturer in case my unit is flawed, however they did namely specify 4 QT (hold hang 195 F.) is the one factor you may simmer (and I prefer to braise in my favorite pots which are 2.25, three, and 5 QT batches).. If I am anchored to a 4 QT POT just for cooking, that is additionally unacceptable.. I used to be unable to get a simmer going (ruined my meal through boiling it).. I used a 3 QT Le Creuset pot (so very on the topic of the 4QT detailed, makes me marvel if even the four QT would have simmered)..
As somebody else mentioned, perhaps the induction expertise is not ready yet for actual cooking (or you want to purchase the $500 and up commercial units).. Almost 25-30 temp settings whole, and 2/3 of them boil everything, and the remaining are preserve heat.. You would think they'd try to make all these (different menus etc) into one linear step-by-step FWD in TEMP.. so we might zero in on a simmer for a pot different the 4 QT..
To check this (make it simmer), I needed to skip from side to side bt three completely different menus, every with a diff theme for surroundings TEMP.. I was once going to repeat this, however all that work, and my meal was once ruined.. I saved no longeres on the environments, and what the temp used to be doing.. As every boiled or cooled below the goal TEMP I tried the subsequent one.. NG..

Fantastic for heating water..
BUT WILL NOT BRAISE (I was unable to get a "SIMPLE" simmer going).. This deserved 1=star IMHO..
